Transparent Jadeite Jade Pendant

Fine jade pendant set with diamonds in 18k.

The carved jadeite is very fine grain, a near flawless ‘fei cui’ (翡翠).

The ruyi carving has absolute transparency, this is possible from its Guatemalan provenance.

This is top quality jade material outside Burma, often mistakenly sold as Burmese imperial green jade.

The green appears distinctly lighter/brighter and then super intense/saturated, when turned away and towards light respectively.

Observe the photos with three pendants, a tilt is all it takes for this jade piece to take on full brightness.

In the the last photo with the earrings, the jade when turned away is combed with depth and shadow.

The pendant is constructed like a locket, its thick-set body to raise the stone away from whether our physical body or its gold body.

Jade of this transparency is consistently set this way, such is the know-how to its most striking end.
