The stone has great lustre, when the light is low the blue deepens, a ‘midnight’ blue. This is the stone at its loveliest.
The depth of the stone is evident by how the faceted gem looks deep and its color displays as if rolling off a smooth glass orb.
This smoothness gives big stones a plush quality.
The stone measures 17 x 13 x 12 mm, and the ring is tallest at 23mm.
