18k Baguette Diamond Half Hoop Earrings, Vintage Chinese
18k diamond huggie earrings set with baguette and round cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.8ctw to 1.0ctw.
The earrings are designed like a half hoop studded with diamonds, the back is a secured pierced ear post, with no separate backing.
The diamonds are clean and white, arranged diagonally, on what could be described as a thick-set gold hoop. It is very attractive this way, distinct from plain diamond huggies.
The hoop is only about 1.3cm tall at the front. Yet the whole earring displays prominently, however small, given they are part hoop, part stud. The hoops do not move but cup the earlobes neatly.
I also notice the diamonds more, because the diamonds are set with little gold work between them; it is this way the diamonds shine more.
These Art Deco influenced hoops are a pair of modern diamond earrings easily surpassing many in craftsmanship.
