Description
18k white gold ‘Omega’ bracelet set with natural jadeite jade.
This mid century bracelet is as memorable as it is striking, its Modernist simplicity is its ID.
The rectangle jade centrepiece measures 12mm by 17mm, cut at a curve. The jade is a bold, bright green.
This green is hard to describe, because it straddles imperial green jade and apple green jade.
This kind of very green jade when set on white gold presents a rather unreal effect, the jade slab almost edible.
Fashioning it into a Hermes-like style, between ‘Omega’ style straps, creates a focal point in both the color and cut of the jade.
The jade is minimally accented by with two rows of diamonds.
Indoors or out, the green is fervent, surreal. This is also the type of green jade that looks equally striking in room light or daylight.
One reason is because the green is so uniform it does not rely on light to render or brighten it.
The straps have a gradual widening, its ‘chevron’ texture on both sides of the gold work.
The bracelet measures 7″.
