Burmese Large Sapphire Diamond Ring

The natural Burmese sapphire is a deep ‘cornflower’ blue, with inclusions that pale under its solid color.

This large sapphire is bordered by a considerably smaller halo, the stone raised as a statement ring.

The stone measures 18 x 12 x 10 mm; the ring’s face spans 21mm by 18mm.

This is an opportunity to wear a natural large sapphire of Burmese provenance, the rest is secondary, because of its great color.

Large or smaller, many recent sapphires from Burma are velvety, though this is quite lustrous, hence probably an old stone.
