24k Carved Filigree Purple Sapphire Mens Ring
Renaissance Purple Sapphire Mens Ring
Fine solitaire ring set with a 5.35ct unheated sapphire in 24k.
The natural Madagascar sapphire is purple red, two hues in equal strength.
Its Renaissance style is adapted to show off a gallery that jointly blends the cusped and filigree carving.
The openness of such a gallery is different from most cusped rings, and a cut-down collet setting will not allow light to reach the inner regions of a darker stone.
Introducing (regular) prongs modernises a ring too far.
This careful design is an incredible solution if you have a stone that hides its tonal hues, or that is darker, or saturated, but still transparent and capable of flaunting its tone.
The treat of light will do its trick of firing the stone, separating what the eyes cannot easily.
This sapphire with its unique play of purple and red is fully displayed in its ‘Baroque-Arabesque’ mount.
Whether worn on the finger or not the stone is infused with light thoroughly, from all sides, angles, and away from the pallor of skin.
For lovers of historical rings, a sumptuous style will also introduce design into the gold work over accent stones.
Not nearly from a single piece of gold (but two), the ring is harder to carve than it looks.
Its virgin gold body is not far from museum jewels originally notable for its heavy weight.
The face of the ring spans 15mm by 13mm.
Please get in touch if you wish to build a similar ring with your stone (the stone should not be small).
