Fine diamond necklace set with round and marquise brilliant diamonds weighing 7.3ctw in 18k.
The two cuts of diamonds are paired to show off a clearly delineated ‘V’, like a sliver of diamonds, a style very eye catching on the neck.
The necklace is 17″ long, with 6″ studded with diamonds, and 6mm thick that tapers slightly away from the centre.
Somewhere between a choker and necklace, its subtle proportions make the semi-structured necklace a svelte accent.
It is not stiff, but it is not soft like a rope. Its form will even allow other necklaces to stack with, creating a look layered through structured and flowy necklaces.
All VS and eye clean, the marquise diamonds are F-G color and the round diamonds K-M color.
This is one of those pieces seldom variegated when being made, but always versatile when dressing up.
Because the necklace has been kept in such a good condition, it is difficult to properly gauge when it was made. It looks like a mid-century piece, but we cannot be certain.
