Carved Lavender Jade Grape Pendant 18k Art Nouveau
Carved lavender jadeite jade pendant set in 18k and accented with diamonds.
This is a big pendant, 4.5cm tall by 2.8cm, its size displays the lavender jade lovingly.
The grape cluster is carved on both sides, each side is distinct. The jade is thick and thickest at the top of the fruit.
The jade carving follows a realistic proportion, so the pendant is contoured like a bunch of grapes. The jade feels tactile, plush.
The lavender hue is considered saturated, in parts the lilac rises and falls like a rendering of nature’s fruit.
The hue is saturated but holding the pendant to the light (and then away) you can observe the jadeite’s changing tone.
The few but vivid transparent green jade cabochons is a powerful touch – this burst of color adds a dewy sentiment to bring out the softer main stone splendidly.
