Large Moonstone Pendant

Fine moonstone pendant set with a large moonstone and diamonds in 18k.

The moonstone is clean and transparent, polished to an exquisite depth of 20mm.

This depth is close to a FULL 2cm all around, the moonstone is exquisite because it is almost a cuboid.

The stone is prong set with delicate wire work to form its filigree, not a typical bezel or frame.

Light from all around is unobstructed, the moonstone displays fervently, a free-floating stone.

The almost one-inch dome of this cabochon manifests its illumination greatly, quite possibly the highest dome to wear comfortably around the neck.

The schiller reveals at tilting angles, with effects of the sunstone visible in the moonstone.

The pendant is constructed meaningfully front and back, built with space to pair with a gemstone or diamond necklace, or an ornate chain or beads.

The allure of a moonstone needs little explaining, a large and impressive dome is its best visual.

The filigree wire work is constructed to let a chain or necklace slide under in concealment.

Paired with a necklace with the right rank, both will impact strength to strength.

It is now paired with double-sided pale pink velvet, of adjustable length, with 18k gold accent endings.

The moonstone measures 30 x 23 x 20 mm.

The pendant comes to 40 x 25 mm.

Stone and setting, this is one moonstone very far ahead of many – both subtlety and substance give the jewel a deepest impression.
