Fine jadeite Laughing Buddha pendant set in 18k with rubies and diamonds.

The translucence approximates imperial green jade, a uniform green that glows.

The figural carving is a ‘miniature’ rendition of the Laughing Buddha, its lines are simple and non-ornate.

The jade carving is mostly backed by gold, with cut-outs into the jade’s brightness.

The clarity of the jade lets the carving lighten and darken with the slightest hint of light, even when worn as a pendant around the neck.

The smallish pendant make this easy to wear, its bail designed as part of the pendant (no hanging loop) in one compact form.

The vivid rubies are heated only and all stones are clean and fiery.

Both stones are of a desirable quality since they have high translucence and a great color in and out of the light.

All photos are taken in natural light, no additional lamp is used.

We do not usually curate religious curios, but the figural carving and stone quality both translate well into a bejewelled league of its own.

Also, this is an artisan piece made lovingly by our craftsman, who loves rubies and only jade more.
