A mid-century ring, with full English hallmarks, and yet nothing is common in its craftsmanship.

The diamonds are ‘bead set’ in a shared gallery of deeply carved curlicues, very similar to how Straits Chinese rings are also ‘bead set’. The thick set (deep) gallery is organic and a great design form, its solid carvings are more in the gold work than filigree. This carving technique is hard to replicate.

Also the proportion of the size of the diamonds to the whole bezel is harmonious. The outcome is a delicate ring that appears bigger than it is.

This is a ring in which its well-proportioned dimensions allow both small or bigger hands to wear it well.
