Pearl Coral Jade Necklace Two Strand Choker 18k
Two Strand Pearl Coral Jade Necklace
Fine two strand beaded choker necklace set with jadeite, pearl, coral, and gold accents in 24k, 18k, 14k.
The ‘centrepiece’ has four faceted teardrops of imperial topaz, bracketed by eight ancient stone beads from this region.
The ice jade is white, with an impossibly faint tinge of celadon.
The three main stones endear one to another in color and texture: the frosty jade, the milkshake swirl in the coral, and the lustre from less seen pinkish and peachy pearls. The topaz in its small fire beckons.
The off-kilter color palette of this necklace changes completely how East or how West beaded or ethnic jewelry appears in our minds, since stylish eyes will negotiate the visual nowness – how fine and how old – what’s come to pass will parse.
Through age and aura (over two millennia), the primitive ‘linen’ ribbed beads capture the imagination the more one looks at it.
Bead jewelry is after all mankind’s first wave of distinguishing itself, stone/bone first, then glass.
Perfect and imperfect strung together creates a softer beauty. This also explains the variations of gold purity we use in these balancing efforts.
The vision is to make a bead necklace with a strong look, a different kind of luxury that comes from long ago and a long time coming.
The necklace is 15.5″. The round beads span 5mm, the teardrops are 10mm tall.
The form of this necklace is beautiful to style closer to the head than farther, but we can lengthen this slightly if required.
