Fine cluster ring set with a 3.9ct natural alexandrite in 18k.

Extremely clean and transparent, the tsavorite green to reddish purple change is excellent.

At some angles, because the stone is so clean we are able to capture the color change without the torch.

Just by turning the ring in subtle change of natural lighting we can observe the green and purple states (without a deliberate change of lighting) – this is a first.

In some angles the camera lens can ‘see’ clearly two distinct colors of this gem at once (see photo).

The stone is prong held in a wide ‘clover’ mount, flanked by round and then baguette diamonds.

The gem is a surprise in its house, a pedestal mount to capture as much light about the whole stone, from the top and through its sides.

Tips of the prongs are gold dipped to contrast the stone from its white body.

Because the gem is rare in its gemmology and rarer in its attributes, this alexandrite will work on any design!

This is an androgynous style, wide at its band and no filigree – nothing embellished except its form which is to push out its stone.

The ring’s face is 15mm all around.
