Fine emerald necklace comprising a beaded necklace with its flip pendant set in 22k.
Bead and cabochon, all stones are emeralds from Colombia.
Like candy in tinsel, the emerald cabochon in turn wraps a lush green ‘field’ as its unique face.
The emerald is a double cabochon weighing 11.27ct – the stone is such a treat to the senses that we made the pendant wearable both ways.
The mechanical turn gives the wearer a choice of wearing the stone, or wearing the gold.
The field for when you want color; the cage for when you want filigree.
The bead necklace can be worn alone; its light green emerald beads interspersed with vivid red spinel beads is a touch of Chinoiserie.
Red with much green cannot escape coyness – the necklace is both coy and bold.
The necklace is 16.5″; the beads range from 4mm to 7mm; the pendant is 30mm by 15mm.
Gold accents are in 24k and 18k.
