This is an unheated sapphire necklace, set with four sugarloaf moonstones in its pendant.

There are two groups of sapphires: the large bezel set purplish pink sapphires from Kashmir, and the rose cut watery sapphires.

The ‘velvety’ sapphires are set with ‘ink wash’ sapphires for a sublime piece of jewelry – nothing needs to outshine, all speak of light’s turn.

The work on this necklace is extensive labour; because all stones are uncalibrated, the bezels and flowers are carved one by one, each distinct.
