Green Jadeite Carved Pendant Ring Set

Fine 4-piece jadeite jade carvings set comprising three pendants and one ring set in 18k.

All four pieces of jade are carved from the same full green jadeite stone, utilizing the brown parts in the carvings.

This set is valuable for its fullness in green is manifested by its ‘archaic’ carvings, with the following details.

1. The biggest pendant is carved double sided, of ruyi, bat, and archaic dragon, measuring 40mm by 22mm.

2. A hulu (gourd) pendant carved with a cicada and ruyi, set with diamonds, 28mm by 19mm.

3. A longer hulu pendant carved with a bat and ruyi, also set with diamonds, 32mm by 17mm.

4. The ring is a carved lotus leaf and bat, 25mm by 14mm, in a present size 11.

The hulu pendants are contoured with rounded thickness, details created by the ruyi spirals carved intricately around the cicada and bat, both finely delineated.

In the big pendant, the treacle of brown spreads like maple in the jadeite, if you know how to appreciate jade this striation is beautiful, Nature’s lofty mood pattern.

The ring too mirrors this patterning, its treacle of brown an almost line drawn across the green.

In all four pieces, the ‘brown’ is like honey when light passes over, it is nowhere opaque or dark.
