Lilac Kashmir Sapphire Earrings Drop 18k

Lavender Kashmir Sapphire Earrings

Fine sapphire drop earrings set with two unheated Kashmir lilac sapphires weighing 5.75ctw in 18k.

The bolder Kashmiri hue is accented with pale pink sapphires and diamonds, all natural stones.

The earrings are 27mm long, this is a unique pair in both color and construction, with two points of flow.

One from its freely articulating stud, the other from the ultra long ear wires.

The Kashmiri sapphires are an uncommon pinkish purple, with violet (bluish) undertones.

Usually small, these originate from one specific mine in the Pakistan controlled area in Kashmir.

The lavender variety of this Kashmiri corundum is distinct from typical hues of purple sapphires or amethysts.

In white light or daylight, the sapphires take on a lavender lightening, the bluish undertones showing up clearly.

The lower the light, the more the sapphires take on a purple display, still this hard-to-photograph Kashmiri hue is neither the purple of sapphires, nor the purple of amethyst.

As a sleigh of paleness the accent stones manifest the lavender.

The earring mounts are handmade; they are not cast.

Separately listed, there is a ring to these earrings.
