Hololith Red Jade Pendant Necklace

Fine highly translucent red jadeite pendant set with diamonds in 18k.

The large ‘hololith’ pendant is detachable from its beaded necklace, set with icy jadeite beads and ancient carnelian beads in 18k.

The internal diameter is 48mm, with a thickness of 7mm.

This tubular pendant is not a small bangle but a true ‘hololith’, a form for eternity that functions through its captivating translucence.

The material is rare red jadeite that has not been heated. Red jade is typically heated to reduce the brown undertone.

The red jadeite is a deep orange color floating in icy white.

This large hololith is the third of one pair of bangles we have listed, this third was cut and polished from the same stone.

Red jadeite material when highly translucent is extremely rare, hence the need to preserve the material as organically as possible. No wastage can be tolerated when encountering material of this level, that is how this third large hololith came about.

The icy hololith is set this way to float the red, joined to its deep green jadeite ‘cloud’ by a flushed diamond rim. The green jadeite is excellent material itself.

The full size bangles are beyond rare, this doppelgänger third will go to a fortuitous one who chances on this and understands its place in jade.

The light going into these translucent beings is another kind of vision, charging the stone materially and lighting from within. The beads are chosen to extend this vision.

The pendant, including the cloud bail, comes to 8cm tall.

The necklace is 26″. Stacking tip: wear with a shorter to anchor the longer.
