Icy Jade Pendant Endless Knot Jade

Fine jade pendant carved from icy white jadeite jade and accented with corals in 18k.

This is highly translucent jade, with a lozenge-like transparency.

This is a vintage jade piece, not a modern-day finding.

The carving is an endless knot, a Chinese knot symbolizing eternity.

Both sides are similarly carved; a large flat carving of uniform see-through color is precious when the material is as fine as this.

The flatness of the jade is extremely tactile – one of few carvings where flatness becomes a desirable thing in jade.

This type of carving is a preference of the Old School. When such carvings are translated into jewelry, the effort is always regal over trendy, meaning a momentous thing remains primordial.

The pendant has great presence.

As collectors of fine jade, we consider this pendant to be a modern heirloom, right from when it was made and where it goes in time.

The carving measures 5.2cm by 4cm; the pendant comes to 6cm tall.
