Red Burmese Ruby Necklace Bangle

Fine natural ruby 2-piece set comprising a necklace and bangle in 18k.

These are unheated red rubies from Burma, a Burmese red that displays with minimal pink.

Many Burmese rubies are commonly heated: to get unheated rubies, with no residue, and with a bold red tone are more uncommon attributes than one can imagine.

Hence this set is precious for getting in one place many uniformly red Burmese untreated rubies.

The necklace is prong set into individual ‘box’ bezels that are interlinked box-by-box, a technique that gives an outlook like so many Georgian multi-stone necklaces.

The V necklace is a great design touch when these red rubies are set into white gold; the mount maintains the V shape centremost, while the rest of the necklace is flexible.

The look wears as if Edwardian, except in the latter a piece will likely use garnets, or synthetic rubies.

The bangle is more ‘Eastern’, since its slight oval structure is firm, though it is essentially built like its necklace, raising its stones.

This set of ruby-only jewelry is suitable if you want to own a set of rubies close to blood red, around the design idea that the stones are not too small they appear only as cluster, but as actual stones one can count.
