We curate and sell only earth-mined, untreated stones.
We are noted for offering unheated stones at unsurpassed prices. For finished jewelry, over 95% of sapphire and ruby stones feature unheated gems. This makes us distinct – selling both the jewelry and the stone – and means you have an idea of commercial vs real value.
With a few heated stones (<5%), but never chemically treated. Flux and Glass are chemical treatments. We do not sell chemically treated stones.
We specialise in the careful curation of collector and auction grade jade, of both jadeite and nephrite. Nephrite is a longer road than jadeite; its love comes later, after knowledge. We also specialise in high carat gems.
When you buy from Gem Gardener, you are buying from two human beings, Bridget and Hwee Yee. We still believe in the pre social media way of doing business. We buy with intention to curate with care. We photograph in natural light and detail what matters to someone who cannot sight the jewelry in person. We hand build all our creative or bespoke endeavours. No CAD. No molds. All these and some make us a slow business.
