Fine jadeite and diamond stud earrings set in 18k.
The floral studs are 10mm each.
The carved jade splices are ‘leaflets’ shaped individually, with a sugarloaf fold in its cut.
The studs are a simple complement to its pendant, a long drape pendant.
This is top quality Guatemalan jadeite. The simultaneous bright-to-deep, almost quivering green is the showmanship and richness of Guatemalan jadeite.
Before this specimen of jadeite was mined, Burmese jadeite in the above quality is very expensive, since the jade quality is near flawless, uniformly green, and perfectly matched.
Photos show that when the jade splices are turned away from light, the contrast with the light-facing splices is striking, it is how this design comes alive.
