Dainty dangle earrings set with natural jadeite jade and diamonds in 18k.
The jade is an example of dark green jadeite that is both highly saturated and translucent.
The green tone is deep and intense, with high translucency in parts, and splashes of yellow.
When held to the light the hoops will astonish.
Translucency in both ‘icy’ and light tones are commonly achieved and hence quite easily available, especially new jade material. On the other end of the tone spectrum, dark ‘intense’ green jade requiring light to see the green is also more common than touted.
The display shown in this pair is not the above, an exemplary showmanship of actual hard-to-find translucent jadeite.
This is also a rare instance of hoops and beads used surprisingly well, coming on the ears the shadowy green pierces through.
