The diamonds are arranged in an emblem nine-stone wrapped in a minimally carved band.
This ‘honeycomb’ ring is more modernist than brutalist, because its shoulder is more carved than studded.
The band is also less ornate than typical ‘mafia’ style rings.
The nine stones are arranged in a compact emblem, in what could also be a rectilinear Deco layout.
The tactility of these rings is important, as the fingers run over the face and texture of gold, for luck of course.
These ‘honeycomb’ studded rings were worn by gangsters, gamblers and the ‘good guys’, in a time before social media, when nothing was funny.
Today we revere them for knowing HOW TO wear them, once upon a time, with a watch gold and solid, if not Rolex.
Sometimes these rings are very heavy, but this one is not, its diamond ratio is denser compared to its gold.
