In person, the sapphire has an uncommon expression of this color, ‘purplish pink’ somehow understates its showing.

If you have seen enough purple or pink sapphires, the distinction is beautiful because it is visible, not trivial.

There are many purplish pink sapphires, but this peculiar tone is seldom seen in a Burmese sapphire, making this small stone quite rare.

It is a challenge to photograph this purple-pink tone because it appears quite different as lighting conditions change.

Observe the ring in the last photo, how mysterious the sapphire becomes in very low light, owing to its brilliance not saturation.

The sapphire displays very fervently the lower the light, meaning the purple and pink becomes quite inseparable to the eye.
