Jade and Emerald Necklace

Fine jadeite jade pendant and emerald beaded necklace set in 18k.

Bead and cabochon, all stones are earth-mined with no treatment.

The pendant is a natural Burmese jadeite, of a very bright tone, encased in diamonds and hung as a charm pendant on the necklace.

The double-strand necklace are beads of Russian emerald, the biggest at the centre from 6mm, graduating to smaller beads.

These type of precious gemstone beads are famous for their difficulty to thread, in part due to the need to position bead size, and their drill holes are essentially as small as seed pearls.

The pendant is considered a charm not because it is small, in fact it alone is larger than typical jade halo rings, but because it is light enough to suspend on the silk-strung beads.

The jade oval pendant measures 16mm by 13mm.

We make available a necklace like this to allow a vivid green to be worn on a more sedate green, having a all-green necklace, using only precious stones of Burmese jadeite and Russian emeralds.

In the barest way possible, the simple combination is more ethereal in person than photos can capture.

Proportional to bead size, the necklace is 15.75″, designed to wear higher (18″ is average) and great with other longer necklaces when stacked.
