Fine long dangle ‘thread’ earrings set with fancy diamonds and sapphires in 22k.
The six diamonds are fancy yellow diamonds; the ten sapphires, including two teardrop cabochons, are yellow and blue sapphires.
The diamonds weigh 2.46ctw; the sapphires weigh 7.44ctw.
The two biggest diamonds are 0.95ct (marquise) and 1.17ct (octagon).
The yellow stones are chosen for their warmth – light to saturated.
Where it is not feasible to use an intense yellow diamond, a fiery sapphire fills in.
Spread over a high karat gold ‘thread’, parsing the fire of diamonds with the color of sapphires, blue thrown in to balance the yellows.
